The SDOA had its first informal meeting on Sunday and is planning our next meeting for Sunday May 3rd at 2pm. The discussion we had resulted in the following short term goals:
Action to take by Stouffville Dog Owners Association:
-continue collecting names for petition on-line and in print.
-find out level of commitment going forward of those that have been in contact.
Get to know as many Town officials who may be involved or can influence this project.
Try to be able to give some feedback before the feasibility report is written.
-identify councillors and candidates for each ward and gauge their support.
-SDOA to contact OSPCA & Georgina shelter as the club should coordinate & keep them informed of our actions
-Start a Facebook page as well as other social networking sites.
